BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu: How the Single-Compound Vials Are Supplied and Tested

Three compounds account for a large share of what we are asked about, and all three also
turn up inside our blends. This post covers how each is supplied on its own, and what the
independent testing shows.

TB-500, listed under its full name Thymosin Beta-4 Acetate.
TB-500, listed under its full name Thymosin Beta-4 Acetate.

BPC-157

Supplied as lyophilised powder in two strengths, 5 mg and 10 mg per vial, ten
vials to a box.

The published report, sample code BC10, covers the 10 mg vial and
returned 10.40 mg of content at 99.851% purity – the
highest single-compound purity figure currently published in our catalogue.

TB-500

Listed under its full name, Thymosin Beta-4 Acetate. Also supplied in 5 mg and
10 mg vials, ten to a box.

The report, sample code BT10, covers the 10 mg vial and returned
10.51 mg of content at 99.416% purity. The tests
requested line on that report reads TB4/TB-500/TB4(17-23) analysis, meaning the
laboratory was asked to distinguish full-length thymosin beta-4 from the shorter 17-23
fragment – a relevant distinction, since the two are not interchangeable and the fragment
is cheaper to produce.

GHK-Cu. The blue-purple colour of the powder comes from the copper in the complex.

GHK-Cu

The copper tripeptide, and the one item of the three with a manufacturer specification
sheet rather than a Janoshik report. Its published specification records a molecular
formula of C14H22N6O4·Cu, a molecular weight of 401.1, and an appearance described as
blue-purple powder – the colour comes from the copper, and is a useful
first-glance check.

The specification lists packaging at 50 mg or 100 mg per vial, a two-year shelf
life, and storage at 2-8 °C away from light and heat.

GHK-Cu is also the largest single component in both of our blends, contributing
50 mg of GLOW70’s 70 mg and of KLOW80’s 80 mg. Our
guide to the blends covers how those break down.

Reading the pattern

Across these three, reported content sits a little above the labelled strength in each
case where a report exists – 10.40 mg against 10 mg, 10.51 mg against
10 mg. That consistency is what you want from fill overage: enough to guarantee the
stated quantity, not so much that the label is meaningless.
